Fincar 5 mg is used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. It helps to shrink the size of the enlarged prostate gland and relieves symptoms like difficulty in passing urine, urgent need to pass urine, and inability to hold the urine.
Fincar 5 mg is to be taken by mouth with or without food. The dose and duration of the medicine should be taken as per prescription. An overdose of it may cause harm to your health. Male pattern baldness, also called androgenic alopecia, is the most common type of hair loss in men. It is characterised by gradual thinning of the hair on the topmost part of the head. This medicine at a dose of 1mg is used in the treatment of hereditary hair loss in men.
How Fincar 5 mg work
Fincar Tablet is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. It blocks an enzyme which is necessary to change testosterone to another hormone that causes prostate to grow. As a result, it helps to shrink the prostate and relieve the symptoms like difficulty in passing urine.
Dosage
Missed Dose
Try not to skip any dose of Fincar 5 mg Tablet. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if the delay is more than 12 hours, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Never take more than the recommended dose of Fincar 5 mg Tablet. Seek emergency medical treatment in case of an overdose.
